Most dangerous industries to work for in the UK

The construction and agricultural industries saw the greatest number of workplace fatalities in 2017/18, according to research from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
The construction industry came out on top, where 38% of reported fatalities occurred, with agriculture industry at 29% and the manufacturing industry at 15%.
In 2017/18, 35 fatal injuries to workers were caused by falling from a height, 26 fatal injuries caused by being struck by a moving vehicle and 31 fatal injuries attributed to ‘other kind of accident’ category, which includes injuries including those cased by animals, drowning and exposure to fire.
