Logistics Manager

Overview: We are looking for a Logistics Manager to oversee the delivery and installation of luxury kitchens and appliances. Our customer work with property developers and domestic clients and they need a vibrant and forward thinking person to join their team.

Description:

Your main duties would be to co-ordinate all goods in and out, arrange delivers and collections to and from site. Managing the delivery driver and warehouse staff to ensure all staff are meeting their KPI’s. You will also be expected to schedule dates for the solid work surfaces, ensuring these meet customers requirements.

Main Purpose of the Role:

Coordinating goods in and goods out
Arranging deliveries/collections to/from site
To Manage all delivery/warehouse staff
To ensure all staff are meeting their KPI’s
To schedule template dates for solid surface worktops
Checking of worktop templates against customer orders
To manage stock control in warehouse
To meet personal objectives and KPI’s as agreed with line manager

Main Responsibilities:

To ensure that all deliveries are booked in/out of warehouse and an accurate record is kept on the companies in house system
To accurately arrange deliveries to site in a timely and economical fashion and to meet with customer and installation deadlines.
To manage and develop all delivery and warehouse staff and to ensure that they are working within company policy and meeting their personal objectives and KPI’s.
To coordinate templating of solid stone tops to meet the installation schedules
To check templates against customer orders before fabrication begins
To arrange delivery and installation of tops after fabrication

Key Accountabilities / Success Factors:

Managing costs for deliveries by ensuring that deliveries are complete and routing is planned in an economical way
Minimise excess stock by ensuring colleagues are aware of stock holdings to avoid order duplication
Developing team to exceed expectations
Knowledge & Experience:**

An understanding of stock control and delivery logistics
Experienced in managing and developing a team
Kitchen experience is desirable but not essential

Skills and Competencies:

An ability to interface with colleagues from all departments of the business to meet the needs of the customer.
The role requires drive and initiative. A high level of communication and interpersonal skills is essential in addition to the ability to build rapport with customers and staff.
The ability to develop ideas and persuade colleagues and clients of their merits.
A sympathetic and understanding approach to managing projects within a customer’s home.

Qualifications: A full, clean UK driving license is desirable.

Required education: Secondary education
Required experience: Logistics: 5 years
Required licence or certification: Driving License
